Funded by Grand Challenges Canada and the Peru Ministry of Health, the Universal Baby Project and Socios en Salud (Partners in Health), Peru, partnered to design and implement a 12-week 'proof-of-concept' pilot study in the Caraballyo district of Lima, Peru, which demonstrated the feasibility and impact of adding locally-produced, responsive interaction Universal Baby videos to an existing an existing and successful community parenting and health intervention, 'CASITA.' Universal Baby collaborated with Cherokee Nation's HERO Project to create and distribute a culturally relevant and accessible Universal Baby video throughout the reservation that showcased high-quality, reciprocal caregiver-child interactions within the Cherokee community, promoting awareness and appreciation of a caregiver's positive impact on their child's early neurodevelopment.
